Editorial: New Hampshire forests can preserve jobs and prepare for climate change
Posted on Thursday, April 15, 2010New Hampshire landscapes could play a key role in the shift to a low-carbon, climate-friendly economy if new incentives are provided to encourage sustainable land-management practices that capture and store greenhouse-gas pollution, according to an editorial from the Concord Monitor. The paper urges state leaders to make sure their colleagues also recognize that the key to jobs in rural communities are the working landscapes to which they are connected.
