NASF participates in America's Great Outdoors listening session in New Hampshire
Posted on Thursday, August 19, 2010A listening session for President Obama's America's Great Outdoors initiative was held on August 9 in New Hampshire, hosted by USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack. Conservationists, timber industry officials and landowners expressed the need to work together to keep private forests healthy for future tourism, jobs and a clean environment. Acting New Hampshire State Forester Brad Simpkins was a featured speaker, and Maine State Forester Alec Giffen and NASF Executive Director Jay Farrell were also in attendance.
