Illegal logging has declined internationally
Posted on Monday, July 19, 2010Illegal logging of tropical woodland has fallen sharply, providing welcome news for nearly billion of the world's poorest people who are dependent on forests, according to the London think tank Chatham House. Since 2000, international efforts to stem the illicit felling of trees has spared some 42 million acres in three countries alone.
