Gypsy moth threat expected to decline in PA
Posted on Thursday, October 8, 2009After years of often rampant infestation, moth numbers in Pennsylvania have plummeted. Many areas won't need to be sprayed for the leaf-munching pests next year, and the respite will allow forestry officials to concentrate on other woodland pests, including tent caterpillars, emerald ash borers and woolly adelgids, which attack hemlock trees.
